India is the largest democracy in the world where co-operatives operate in every village. There is almost no sector left untouched by the co-operative movement in India. It is indeed a moment of pride for the Indian Farmers Fertiliser Co-operative Organisation of India (IFFCO) to host such a significant international co-operative event in the country.

A word to new visitors at ICA ExpoCoop

Founded in 1895, the International Co-operative Alliance (ICA) is a non- governmental association that represents the co-operative sector throughout the world. ICA has 248 member organisations from 92 countries active in all sectors of the economy and brings together nearly 800 million individuals around the globe.

ICA ExpoCoop 2010 is the ICA official tradeshow. Following the success of the first EXPO in Lisbon 2008, ICA ExpoCoop 2010 is one of the best ways of highlighting the cooperative movement's unique business model of social justice and commercial success. It is the perfect opportunity to underline the sixth principle of Co-operation among Co-operatives.

ICA ExpoCoop 2010 will be held at KTPO Bangalore Trade Center, India, from 8 to 10 of December and will have the presence of leading co-operatives from more than 60 countries participating as both exhibitors and visitors.

The tradeshow is the largest co-operative trade fair at the global level to promote and develop co-operative trade opportunities. ICA ExpoCoop 2010 will provide co-operatives with a unique opportunity to showcase co-operative products and services to a large and diverse market.

Co-operatives will be able to showcase their values, achievements, importance and growth; and above all, highlight how much of a player the co-operative movement is in the global economy.
